Will CollectiShop be free to use?
CollectiShop will be merely free to use as it will be open source software, but it’s possible that in the feature some paid extras will be added.
But the main application (the e-commerce platform components themselves) stay free.
Do I have to use framework [NAME] to use CollectiShop?
Yes, CollectiShop will be built on framework [NAME] whereas the core code will be dependent from the framework [NAME].
Where is the storefront?
There won’t be a storefront available (except for the demo environment) as the goal of CollectiShop is to make it more easy for developers to create a webshop that contains all default e-commerce features. The storefront can differentiate the webshops from each other so each webshop can still have a tailor-made touch.
Why do you talk about an e-commerce platform and not an e-commerce framework?
We talk about an e-commerce platform as we won’t deliver a zip file with code that you could upload to your hosting and everything works out-of-the-box, but we will deliver components that can be integrated separately into your storefront. Additionally there will also be more than just code to facilitate a checkout.
